This video is of my 7 miles circular kayak from Lawrenny Quay to Carew Castle and back on the Carew river on the 11 November 2024.
It shows the amazing scenery along the Carew River, which is one of the main tributaries of the Cleddau River in Pembrokeshire
The video explains the history of the medieval Carew castle and Carew tidal mill which are along the route.
On this trip I saw countless geese, ducks, waders and other wildfowl which inhabit the Carew river.
On this trip I was using a Story Division 1 inflatable kayak.
The Story kayak is a full drop stitch inflatable kayak which inflates to 10 psi with the result that the hull and decks are very firm and rugged.
The Cleddau River and its tributaries offer countless opportunities for Pembrokeshire kayaking trips.
It is an amazing river system, consisting of the Daugleddau, the Western Cleddau, the Eastern Cleddau, the Carew, the Cresselly, and the Pembroke rivers, together with small pills and tributaries.
We have paddled all of the Cleddau and its tributaries and are uploading videos of our trips on them to our Cleddau river playlist of our YouTube channel.
