Touch the tip of a small artist's paintbrush or cotton swab to the pollen-containing anthers of the flower. Small grains of pollen should be visible on the brush or swab.
Transfer the pollen grains to the sticky, receptive stigma on a flower of the desired pomegranate plant, if you have more than one. The stigma is in the center of the bloom and surrounded by a multitude of stamens. Continue to transfer pollen until you have contacted as many receptive stigmas as possible.
Repeat this transfer of pollen from the anthers of flowers to the stigmas, ideally on other pomegranate plants, on a nearly daily basis until pollen is no longer produced or stigmas are no longer receptive. Pollinated blooms lose their petals and mature into fruit that ripen within five to seven months.
