If you are new to Tempeh, have never tried it, or even if you love it, you must try this recipe! It’s slightly sweet, tangy, spicy, sticky, all the best things!!!!
General Tso’s tempeh
3 tbsp vegetable oil
1 chopped onion
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 head of broccoli cut into florets 200 g
240 g tempeh diced
1 tbsp minced ginger
4 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari)
4 tbsp maple syrup
4 tbsp Ketchup
1 tsp Sriracha sauce
1 cup vegetable broth 250 ml
In a large skillet, over high heat, sauté vegetables, tempeh and ginger in oil for 5 minutes.
Add soy sauce, maple syrup, ketchup, sriracha sauce, vegetable broth and stir to combine.
Bring to a boil stirring constantly and cook until vegetables are tender.
Serve over basmati rice.
