Today:
Friday begins mostly dry but there are scattered showers in the north and west with some wintry showers across central and northern Scotland.
Through the rest of the day showers will fade away from central, northern and western Scotland where they will keep going. Much of Northern Ireland, Wales and England will have a dry day with bright or sunny spells. Temperatures will be cooler than yesterday at 5C to 11C.
Tonight:
Patchy rain is likely for northern Scotland while Ireland will see more persistent rain threatening from the Atlantic by the end of the night. The rest of the country will stay dry with clear spells and variable cloud. A cool night with temperatures of 3C to 7C.
Tomorrow:
Wet and windy weather will push eastwards into many northern, central and western regions but eastern counties are likely to stay dry albeit it will turn increasingly cloud. Winds will reach 50-60MPH arund Atlantic and Irish Sea coasts but at least it will be milder at 6C to 12C.
Outlook:
Sunday: Overnight heavy rain lingering for much of the day in the south east. Drier elsewhere.
Monday: Showers in the north and west. Cooler.
Tuesday: Mostly dry but turning colder.
