As well as being an accomplished Australian musician, Michael Atkinson is an award winning composer, and has received many awards with his film music. His music has been performed in concert by orchestras in America and Australia. He has completed seven feature film scores and innumerable scores for television in styles that range from country to traditional jazz, and from classical to contemporary rock.
Michael Atkinson's lush, classical orchestrations stir the senses and conjure images of full-blooded Gaelic poetry. Lyrical sounds of violin, Irish whistle and harp speak of moments of heart stirring solitude, legend and mystery.
