Let’s start the things with the Realme 5 display. The phone comes with 6.5-inch mini drop display with HD+ resolution. Realme 5 mini drop display is said to be 30% smaller than a typical waterdrop display. But on the use, we didn’t find any major differences. On the design front, the Realme 5 looks similar to the 5 Pro. But on the side by side Real 5 vs Realme 5 Pro, you will notice that the rainbow sheen on the 5 Pro seems to be missing on the vanilla version.

Talking more about the Realme 5 specs, you get Snapdragon 665 processor under the hood, which is quite an upgrade over the Realme 3 and even the Realme 2 Pro. With the capable processor on the board, you can dependable performance from the device. And that came true on our Realme 5 gaming review. When we performed the Realme 5 PUBG test, the phone ran smoothly without any lags or hiccups. That happened on the low setting, however. While playing the game on a high setting, drop in frames rate was evident. Talking about the Realme 5 AnTuTu benchmark score, the score was better than Snapdragon 660, Helio P65 and Helio P70 processors.

When the phone was launched, it was marketed as Realme 5 Quad camera powerhouse. And it does have a quad camera setup on the back. The camera quadruplet comprises of a 12MP primary shooter backed by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On our Realme 5 camera review, all the cameras did well. But the macro lens was more of gimmick there. But if you do the Realme 5 vs Redmi Note 7s camera comparison, you do get more camera capabilities from the Realme 5.

Talking about the battery, the phone comes with a 5000mAh unit, which promises prolonged endurance. On our Realme 5 battery test, the phone lasted for more than 2 days on the normal use. But on the Realme 5 charging test, the result wasn’t that impressive. Realme 5 charging 0 to 100 percent took 3.5 hours while using its stock charger.

On the extras, Realme 5 is said to come with splash resistant. There is no IP certification, so we don’t know which level of protection is there. But it is said to come with O-rings and rubber gaskets, which prevents the water from getting inside to a great extent.
