Bisphosphonates are drugs that strengthen bones, and are used to treat osteoporosis, but also to help protect bones when breast cancer spreads to the skeleton – known as secondary breast cancer. Professor Ingunn Holen talks about her research into secondary breast cancer, and how bisphosphonates could be used to treat the disease in the future.
