Follow me in the first-person perspective on this travel vlog of what it's like to take the Golden Round Trip ticket from Lucerne to the peak of Mount Pilatus in Switzerland. The Golden Round Trip to the top of Mount Pilatus is an excursion that includes a boat ride to Alpnachstad, then the world's steepest cogwheel railway line to the peak. Then, you take a cable car ride down the peak of the mountain to Kriens, Switzerland.

Conversely, you can take the opposite route on your way if you'd like to ride the cable car up the mountain and the cogwheel down the mountain.

Mount Pilatus is located in central Switzerland in the city of Lucerne. The mountain is one of the most famous Swiss mountains as the legend is that Pontius Pilot is buried there. The mountain is made up of a limestone core that is covered by granites and was formed during the Triassic. The forest on top of the limestone mountain has been protected since 1909.
