Several new medications have been shown to be effective in lupus clinical trials in the past year. They have been used in both specific types of lupus (eg. lupus nephritis or lupus affecting the kidneys), as well as more generally. This talk will review how they work, who they are most useful for, what stage of development they are at, and compare them to what we are currently using.
