35mm autofocus G-mount electronic rangefinder camera with interchangeable lenses released by Contax in 1994. An electronic connection between the camera and the lens to transmit data but the focusing (both AF and manual) is driven by a motor in the camera. "Green Label" G1 bodies are compatible with 21mm and 35mm lenses. Titanium body available in champagne finish.
