FLORENCE, Ky. (WKRC) -- The city of Florence is closing a fire station that has been open for decades.
Fire Station Number One is located at Main Street and Shelby. It has been operating since 1936.
The station held an open house Sunday afternoon.
All former volunteer firefighters were invited to attend the farewell celebration that included food and drinks.
