This reworking of the original Celtic song 'Innesfrie' from Caitlin's second album 'The Promise' is just spectacular. Featured with Caitlin's voice, in the WWI movie 'Eleven' as 'Come Home To Me', this song is now in its third and, arguably, its best incarnation.
A lush orchestral arrangement, bold, uplifting & climactic finish paired with the beautiful tenor voice of Irish/Canadian singer, Conor Murphy of hit classical/crossover group Trinity.
Written especially for Armistice Day/Armed Forces day/Veterans day. The lyrics evoke the emotional anguish and poignancy of war, from the POV of soldiers overseas, dreaming of the day when they can return home, never to fight again.
Sadly, many never did return home.
