April 29 (Bloomberg) -- Kevin Book, managing director at Clearview Energy Partners LLC, talks with Bloomberg's Deirdre Bolton about the outlook for offshore drilling following an oil spill off Louisiana's coast.
A damaged offshore well owned by BP Plc began leaking oil after the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig, owned by Geneva-based Transocean Ltd., exploded and sank last week. The U.S. Coast Guard said yesterday that the well was leaking five times faster than it previously thought, spewing 5,000 barrels of oil a day into the Gulf of Mexico. (Source: Bloomberg)
