A playthrough of Irem's 1991 beat 'em up for the Nintendo Game Boy, Kung Fu Master.
Played through on hard mode.
Even though it bears the same name as the arcade game, it's not at all a port. It's more an adaptation of the gameplay style into a new game, though its extremely similar to Kung Fu and Vigilante. There are a couple things again introduced in this installment, though - you can pick up bombs and throw them at the ground, causing a good amount of damage to anyone standing in the blast, and there is now a really useful back-flip move that's particularly good for boss battles.
I remember beating this game the first day I played it - just like Fall of the Foot Clan - but it was one of those games that I had so much fun with that I could play it again and again, never getting bored. I also used to get a kick out of how Thomas looks like he's doing the Zangief/Gorbachev Russian kicking dance from SF2 when he does a low kick.
*This is a new video to replace my original recording in my Game Boy playlist. It was recorded in Retroarch using the DMG shader to mimic the look of the Game Boy's LCD screen.
