A teacher personal statement should include the reasons why you want to become a teacher, why you have chosen your subject, the qualities you have that will help you to become a competent teacher and also any relevant experience and transferable skills you have that will be applicable to the teaching role and/or educational subject.
7 STEPS TO WRITING A TEACHER PERSONAL STATEMENT
#1 - WHY you want to be a teacher.
#2 - WHY you feel you will enjoy teaching.
#3 - WHY you have chosen your subject.
#4 - The QUALITIES you have that will enable you to teach effectively.
#5 - How any previous STUDIES and EXPERIENCE demonstrate you will be an effective teacher.
#6 - How you may have BENEFITED FROM ANY PRIOR EXPERIENCE relatable to teaching.
#7 - What you have LEARNT and HOW IT WILL HELP YOU as a teacher.
