When Simon Wolfson voted in favour of the Tax Credit cuts he put his Tory brain before his retail brain. He forgot that Next has staff and customers that depend on Tax Credits.
As an ex-employee of Next (worst job I ever had) the stuff that is sold at 5am is mostly tat that has been hanging around in the stock room and some of it has never even seen the shop floor! Sold off at a stupid time in the morning usually in a 5AM sale for deluded people to buy in bulk.
Boxing day is for sleeping off Christmas Day and eating left overs. It is not for getting up for the 5 AM Boxing Day Sale to blow your gift Vouchers and cash on stuff nobody wanted.
It makes me cross that Simon Wolfson has such contempt for his staff and customers and voted in favour of Tax Credit Cuts.
