STORYLINE
Over one hundred performers paraded through the Olympic Green in Beijing on Saturday, in the first Olympic mascot show.
The moving floats represent the five mascots - Beibei, Jingjing, Huanhuan, Yingying and Nini, which together mean 'Beijing Welcomes You' in Mandarin.
The parade thrilled audiences with displays of acrobatics, martial arts, Peking Opera, hip-hop dance and extreme sports.
The parade will be held twice a day until the end of the Olympic Games on 24 August.
