This is the first cook we did on the Traeger Trailhead portable pellet grill.
We wanted to see if the Trailhead could get hot enough to sear a steak. We preheated the grill at the highest setting for 30 minutes before adding a sirloin steak to the cooking grate.
We grilled the steak for 7 minutes per side and, while it took on some nice color, the steak never got seared.
