Political observers believe that the appointment of General Muhoozi Kainerugaba to the epitome of the army will tame his political aspirations for now. However, there is a disagreement on how this will impact his pressure group, the Patriotic League of Uganda whose strength is expected to decline. As JACKSON ONYANGO found, the weakening of the pressure group is attributed to the appointment of key individuals from PLU into ministerial positions, which could keep them busy.
