Written and performed by Robert Adams (voice and piano) from the album "Cool Waters." A tribute to the Titanic composed a few years ago.
LYRICS BELOW:
In a time and place far away,
in the homeland of our fathers,
a ship so grand was made
to sail the vast blue ocean waters.
Her glory was matched by no other vessel
that ever had parted the sea.
The pinnacle of a glorious new era
like nothing before ever seen.
At the core of her design
was a flaw that became her undoing.
It was an attitude of pride
that Titanic could never be sunken.
While steaming full speed through these arrogant waters,
the captain and crew failed to see

and changed all their destinies.
CHORUS:
Oh, what a tragedy - this loss of life at sea -
but with precautions made, all souls could be saved.
What once was glorious now lies in ruin.
The silent hull lies deep below as tombstone marks a grave.
Like that fateful voyage of old,

is this flaw that becomes our undoing.
It is this attitude of pride
that takes for ourselves and leaves nothing.
We're steaming full speed through these arrogant waters
not lifting our eyes up to see.
The need of this world beyond our own borders
is calling to you and to me.
CHORUS:
Oh, what a tragedy, this loss of life at sea.
If our hearts feel the need, all souls could be saved.
What might be glorious will lay in ruin.
A relic to our past, as tombstone marks a grave.
In a time and place far away, in the homeland of our fathers,
a ship so grand was made...
