NEMO pole sets use elastic shock cord to make setup of your tents quick and easy. To prolong the life of the shock cord, it's important to break down your pole sets starting from the middle segments. Otherwise, one end of the shock cord will always be experiencing more stretch and stress.

If the number of segments is uneven, start from as close to the middle as possible and continue breaking down the segments. If you have pole sets connected by a center swivel hub, separate the poles at the middle. Then continue breaking down the segments section by section.
