Mount Kimbie took a real risk on this latest full-length of theirs, Cold Spring Fault Less Youth. The duo has seen fit to bring a lot more live instrumentation into the fold, which has definitely brought some dynamics to their sound; however, the recording itself lies pretty flat. If only the sounds were as bold as Kimbie's stylistic change.
