In this video I am showing how you can easily remove the camshaft sprocket when doing the timing belt and water pump job or when replacing leaking camshaft oil seals. I am using a universal timing gear holding tool that has adjustable gear teeth to hold the sprocket which can work on a wide range of cam gear sizes. Most of the times you can rent this tool for free from your local auto parts store. If it is not available, you can just buy one online.
