Six Terrorists Killed in Twin Encounters in J&K's Kulgam; Rajouri Army Camp Attacked
An Indian soldier was injured in a terrorist attack on an Army camp in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), early on July 7. The terrorists opened fire, leading to a 30-minute gunbattle before escaping into the forest. Security forces have launched a search operation to trace the attackers. This attack follows two encounters in Kulgam, where six terrorists were killed and two soldiers died. J&K Director General of Police (DGP) RR Swain confirmed ongoing operations in Kulgam’s Frisal Chingam and Modergam. Jammu & Kashmir witnessed several attacks last months as well, including a deadly assault on a pilgrim bus in Reasi that killed nine. Encounters in Bandipora and Doda also resulted in multiple terrorist deaths.
