Stadion Narodowy is a station on the line M2.
The station opened on March 8, 2015.
This station consists of two underground levels: Level -1 contains mezzanines with check-in halls, commercial premises and technological rooms, while level -2 contains the passenger platforms.
The mezzanines on level -1 are open to the platforms and allow for orientation in the facility. Its northern and southern parts are connected by three footbridges, the middle one of which also serves as the check-in hall. From the mezzanine level, each passenger platform is accessed by three pairs of fixed and escalators, as well as two lifts located at both ends of the platform. In total, there are 18 escalator lines installed at the station, most of them on the central section of line 2. On the western mezzanine, by the exit near the Warszawa Stadion railway stop, there is the ZTM Passenger Service Point. It's decorated in grey and red colours with elements of black and equipped with two stands, one of which has a lowered top and is adapted to serve people in wheelchairs. There is also a police station in the north-western part of level -1.
On the -2 level there is a platform hall with two platforms, each 120m long and 11m wide. Platform 1 serves the M2 line, while platform 2 is to be the M3 line platform in the future. Currently this platform is used for technical purposes related to the M2 line, as well as for filming purposes. In addition, the outer track at this platform is equipped with an inspection pit with lighting, which allows for minor inspections. This track has been separated from the rest of the station with a temporary soundproof screen.
The main colour of the station is green. The glass entrances to the facility, suspended ceilings and panels with graphics by Wojciech Fangor mounted on the walls are in this colour.
Along the station runs a row of conical columns acting as skylights, the heads of which are visible on the ground surface. In every third ring, instead of a skylight, there are pots with trees planted. The neighboring skylights illuminate the plants with artificial light reaching the surface from the interior of the station. There are also four bowls in this row. The structure made of steel covered with fireproof paint was enclosed with blinds made of a mixture of acrylic resin and minerals. Apart from the technical function of covering the station fans, the "mushrooms" also have a decorative function. The domes are illuminated and at night they function as lanterns.
A roof was built between the entrance to the metro at the railway embankment and the entrance to the pedestrian tunnel at the railway stop. A green transparent mosaic was mounted on a steel frame, which refers to the main color of the metro station and to the interior design of the stop, where the mosaic is red.
