This video contains two matches I had with the LV1 and LV2 Baund Doc on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 650-700 cost raid with an incredible transformed mode that allows it to move in any direction, amazing melee damage, boosting stuns while transformed and a low HP stat boost which nearly maxes out your melee modifier. Its weaknesses would be its vulnerability in MS mode, its large size, its poor HP relative to this size alongside poor ballistic resistance. I haven't uploaded a video on the Baund Doc for a while, I figured I may as well since I have been sitting on this footage for a while. It may have fallen behind the meta, but it still feels very fun to play. I hope that you enjoy watching!
Its primary weapon at LV2 is a beam rifle with 2730 power, 3.5 seconds cooldown, 80% heat, 13 seconds overheat time, 0.77 seconds swap time, 405m range and 20% stagger value. This fires from the left hand in MS mode so be careful. It is very useful to start combos into melee.
Its primary melee weapon at LV2 is a beam saber with 2650 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time, 60%/35% combo modifier and 100% side swing modifier. This has a pretty standard beam saber moveset other than being held in the left hand. Thanks to the side swing modifier and combo modifier this will do solid damage despite the modest power.
Its first sub weapon is an arm claw with 3200 power, 6 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time, 100% side swing modifier and 160% downswing modifier. The neutral and side swings knock down instantly, downswings can deal really high damage thanks to the modifier
Its second sub weapon is a diffusion mega particle cannon with 367x4x3 (945x8) power, 75% (95%) heat, 0.8 seconds cooldown, 23 seconds overheat time, 1 second swap time, 350m (400m) range and 16%x4x3 (10%x8) stagger value. Uncharged shots fires a shotgun blast that can stagger enemies if enough beams hit, but it can be unreliable because of the spread. Charged shots instant stagger.
When transformed you keep the beam rifle from MS mode but gain two additional weapons. Its first sub weapon in transformed mode is a pair of leg claws with 3700 power, 3 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time and 100% side swing modifier. The normal swings for this weapon have very short reach, but the downswing is a lunge with good reach and short recovery.
Its second sub weapon while transformed is a diffusion mega particle cannon with 525x4x2 (3150) power, 70% (95%) heat, 0.8 seconds cooldown, 20 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap time, 350m range, 1.5 seconds focus time and 16%x4x2 (10%) stagger value. This works the same way as the MS mode version, but it can be fired while boosting. The uncharged shots are even more unreliable than they are in MS mode, but the charged shot fires a single beam now.
The LV2 Baund Doc has 23000 HP, 17 ballistic resist, 30 beam resist and 31 melee resist. This level of durability doesn't seem that bad until you realize just how massive the Baund Doc is, it has a 10% damage reduction leg buffer, 15% reduction waist buffer and 15% reduction left arm buffer but this doesn't make up for it. For defensive skills it has LV2 Damage Control and LV2 Maneuver Armor in both modes alongside LV1 Emergency Evasion in transformed mode, though no dodge roll in MS mode until Psycho Wave activates.
It also has 135 (135) hover speed, 225 (240) boost speed, 80 thrust and 78 (66) turning speed. Its mobility in MS mode is good enough but the transformed mobility is really amazing. It shares the same controls as flying suits like Byarlant so you can easily abuse this 3D movement to flank enemies or otherwise gain the upper hand. It gets LV2 Forced Injector and LV3 Flight Control for mobility related skills.
At 30% HP the skill LV1 Psycho Wave will activate which grants LV2 Emergency Evasion, +5 to hover/boosting speed, +15 to turning speed , -20% to thrust consumed and +50 melee modifier. This gives a pretty nice boost to mobility but the melee damage bonus is incredible.
In conclusion, I feel that while the Baund Doc used to be very strong in the right hands, it has fallen out of use because of powercreep. In the same role and playstyle you could play Byarlant Custom instead and do much better, so it becomes hard to justify using the Baund Doc which requires more skill for less return. It might be time for it to get a buff. I think it would be fair if it had LV3 Maneuver Armor at 650 and LV4 at 700, +2000 HP, +1 level for all the buffers, less heat and better stagger value for the beam cannons alongside Psycho Wave activating at 40% HP. Baund Doc should still be viable if you put a lot of time into learning it, but I don't think it is worth the effort at this point. Just learn Byarlant Custom instead. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!
