Choosing a good body font for your website is difficult, but it really doesn't have to be. You just have to keep a few basic things in mind, with the main one being that you should keep it as simple as possible. Your body font isn't the star of the show and it isn't something you should overcomplicate.

Always choose function over form. How it works is more important than how it looks. In the case of typography, how it looks directly affects how it works. Typefaces with large x-heights, even spacing, easily recognizable characters and low stroke contrasts make everything much easier to read and provide the user with a smooth reading experience.

Don't be afraid to reuse the same font for different websites. If it works and if it fits the branding, there's no problem if you use it consistently. No typeface combination is ever going to be completely unique to that brand or website and looking for a new font for every website will bring you a whole lot of problems and not many benefits.
