Prince Charles has delivered the 2022 Queen's Speech in the House of Commons, standing in for the 96-year-old Queen who was unable to attend due to "episodic mobility issues".

In the annual address, normally delivered by The Queen, Prince Charles outlined the priorities for the government in the coming year. He opened on the government's top priority - tackling the cost of living crisis - and went on to discuss the "benefits" of Brexit, international defence in light of the war in Ukraine, the role of Nato and a new proposed Bill of Rights.
