Now iPhone and iPad users can lock WhatsApp using their devices’ biometric locks like Touch ID or Face ID. Read Here: [ Ссылка ]
Adding the lock requires you to re-authenticate yourself every time you open the app, even if your iPhone never locked. It’s a really nice feature if you’re the kind of person who lends people your phone, or has nosy friends and relatives who want to see your private conversations or swipe through your photo library uninvited.
If you are using iPhone X or later version of iPhone, you can unlock WhatsApp using FaceID. And if you are using iPhone 5s, 6, 7 or 8 which is having TouchID then you can use the same, to lock or unlock the WhatsApp.
Setting up this feature is really simple and easy.
Unlock your iPhone then open WhatsApp.
Tap on ‘Settings’ then again tap on ‘Account’
Now go into the “Privacy” menu then tap on Screen Lock.
You either have ‘Require FaceID’ or TouchID as an option here. Just toggle it on to enable WhatsApp lock on your iPhone.
At the Screen Lock menu, you can also set the interval for how long you’d like WhatsApp to wait before requiring you to log in again. I prefer to choose “immediately,” which is the most secure option to lock WhatsApp on iPhone.
But, there is a catch. Even with Screen Lock, you can reply directly to incoming messages through notifications and answer incoming voice calls without unlocking the app. To avoid this, you need to disable notification previews by moving to ‘settings’ then ‘notifications’ and here turn off the ‘Show Preview’ option.
