Jackie Lynn Vise, 90, died Saturday, November 16, 2024 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Heflin Baptist Church with the Rev. Brent Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Forestlawn Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Heflin Baptist Church. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Jackie was born August 14, 1934 to Virgil & Cora Vise the younger brother to Clellon & Bettye Vise. He graduated Cleburne County High School in 1952. He worked at General Electric where he met Elizabeth Ann Quinn.
Jackie was a lifelong member of Heflin Baptist Church. He retired from Alfa Insurance in 1998 after 28 years where he was highly respected and loved by his colleagues. He and Ann loved to travel far and near. They loved to travel to see friends, family, grandchildren and great grands.
Jackie loved his Lord, his church, his country, and of course Alabama football. He had a truly wonderful life and a wonderful marriage to Ann for 71 years. He was beloved by his family and will be greatly missed here on earth but will someday forever be reunited with his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Cora Vise; siblings, Clellon (Audrey) Vise and Bettye Tolleson Kennedy; son in law, Michael Sexton and beloved granddaughter, Carrie Leigh Vise.
Jackie leaves behind his beloved wife of 71 years, Elizabeth Ann Vise; son, Mark (Janice) Vise; daughter, Leigh Ann (Donald) Parton; granddaughter, Georgia Sexton(Gabriel) Chavez; Great Grands, Anderson (Breanna Lang) Jacks, Ian McGowan, Sofia Chavez, Evelyn Chavez, & Gabriel Chavez III.
Family requests NO flowers. Donations in Jackie's memory may be made to Heflin Baptist Church Building Fund.
