Elite shungite, petrovsky shungite or regular shungite rocks: what is the difference? Today we are going to talk about three types of Karelian shungite – from the brilliance and effectiveness of properties of raw noble shungite to the great variety of goods made from regular shungite.
The division into three types stems from the amount of carbon in shungite’s composition. Noble elite shungite is the purest type with up to 98 % of carbon. Shungite fullerenes give elite shungite its exceptional abilities in water filtering and purification, EMF and MMW protection, while its close connection to the Earth brings up its spiritual healing and chakra balancing. Petrovsky shungite is a somewhat transitional type with up to 70 % of carbon in its composition and is effective both in crystal healing and in crafting different products as it is not as fragile as elite shungite. What we call “regular shungite” is shungite in which the amount of carbon doesn’t exceed 30 % and most of our wonderful shungite products are made from it as it is perfect for crafting.
