Table Mountain, now officially one of the 7 Natural wonders of the world, is one of the most iconic landmarks on earth. It also has some of the most scenic hikes that are almost within the city. It’s absolutely no wonder that Cape Town has become a number tourist destination. A visit to the top is a must do for locals and tourists alike as it provides brilliant views over the city, Camps Bay, Table Bay, the West Coast to the north and the Cape Peninsula to the south.
Platteklip Gorge is the shortest hike straight up the middle of the mountain. The average duration is about 2 hours, but fit people can summit the mountain in about half an hour if they try.
