James: Home Appliance Technician: The flashing salt light doesn't relate to a particular fault code but each wash program will do a rinse first which uses cold water then drains and will then take in water.
James: Home Appliance Technician: So it not heating water for the first wash is normal behaviour but it failing to then start the main wash suggests a fault with it detecting the water level.
