How to Grow Peruvian Lily AKA Alstroemeria

In this video I show you how to grow Alstroemeria (Peruvian Lily), including how to get them to bloom for multiple seasons.

I’m in zone 10b, where we don't get frost, so I use the winter to transplant my alstroemerias around the yard. I do this because Alstroemerias naturalize, meaning that they multiply themselves around the garden. So I like to take that extra growth and color more areas of my yard with it. They come in many different colors including, orange, yellow, pinks, whites, purples, and different hybrid colors.

Alstroemerias are not frost hardy, so if you live in an area that gets frost, you can transfer these from the ground into well-draining pots and bring them inside in the winter. When spring comes, you can add these back into the garden. :)
