Secretary of State Antony Blinken has expanded travel bans for Chinese officials who repress religious and ethnic minorities. This ban builds on Visa restrictions enacted during the Trump Administration. Author of "The Coming Collapse of China and "The Great US-China Tech War," Gordon Chang, joins to share his thoughts on this move by the State Department and why he thinks this is happening now. Following the phone call between President Joe Biden and China's president, the Chinese Ambassador to the US said that "China's trusted relations with Russia, is not a liability, actually it's an asset in the international efforts to solve the crisis in a peaceful way. China is part of the solution, not part of the problem." Chang reacts to that. Meanwhile in Washington, the Biden Administration has tapped former Trump officials to help pass the China Competition Bill. The author tells us whether he thinks this might help push the bill through. On another note, several real estate developers in China, including Evergrande, say they will not be able to release their 2021 fiscal year earnings on time. Chang discusses what this signals about China's economy.
