Knife making, how to make a machete with an angle grinder and basic hand tools.
In this video I show just how easy it can be to make a knife with basic tools. We do most of the knife shaping with an angle grinder. And heat treat it in a camp fire and kitchen oven. This is a very easy knife making project that can be completed in a day. And you will have a knife that will chop through anything!
The steel that is used is the most important part of this project. 1080 and 1084 are the best steel for beginner knife makers. They are the easiest steel to heat treat for beginner knife makers.

1/16" cut off disk can be found at Home Depot or a hardware store. As well as 1/4" grinding disks.
