Frederick Kempster was born in 1889 in London, one of 8 children. His father passed away when he Fred was 8 years old....what followed was a whirlwind of a like for the next 30 years including put into care of Dr Barnardo's, sailing to Canada, returning and joining a travelling circud, being arrested in Germany as World War broke out, and being subject to newspaper articles and public intrigue....due to being a 7 foot 9 inch giant!!
