We waited and watched from a safe distance near Cleary Summit as the Poker Flat Research Range and several science teams prepared to launch 5 research rockets in to the night sky to conduct several experiments. More info here... [ Ссылка ]
While the weather did finally cooperate for a good window that would have allowed all 5 experiments to launch, the airspace was needed for a medevac and the launch team was required to stand down. By the time the air space was available the conditions didn't allow the launch. As you can see, at the end of the video, a test rocket was fired and not shown in the video were two weather balloons that were launched.
The weather is expected to clear by this weekend or at least early next week and the team is hopeful that they will be able to launch. We'll do our best to capture video of the launch. Stay tuned!
