- Extended meyana sung to an uboothiya in lami mode ending in a poem verse returning to dasht and final teslim.

Note: Yusuf Omar uses a variation of an uboothiya popularized by the Iraqi Maqam master Muhammad al-Qubbanchi in his famous lami recording from 1928 for Baidaphone Records. Al-Qubanchi improvised the uboothiya and its lami melody in Germany when he learned the sad news of his father's death. Yusuf Omar is faithful to his teacher's vocal performance of the lami, however, and he reproduces Qubbanchi's style masterfully.
