On Friday the 14th of December, 2018 on my way to the Newark Airport on a Lufthansa 410 flight from Munich, one of my bags went missing as I was passing the international line port of entry. I was told from a Lufthansa rep that I should exit the port of entry, and approach the kiosk on the other side (of the port of entry) to inquire about the bag. The bag was immediately (within 5 mins) located to be in the carousel, however since I had already left the port of entry area, I could not go back in.
It took Lufthansa 2.5 hours to bring my bag from a location which is located less than 5 mins walking distance from their kiosk. I was waiting there with a handicapped person as well as my toddler daughter.
My request to have one of their supervisors assist by sending someone to physically bring the bag over in a priority (being that I had already been in a flight for over 9hrs) went on to deaf ears.
What's more amusing is that the reps behind the counter, being fooled by my my European looks and departure location, started to make fun of me in Spanish, wrongfully assuming that I did not understand any of their sarcastic comments. This is the face of Lufthansa, these scum of earth customer non-service reps are the face of a once well oiled German machinery.
To top it off, the rep on the left (male) went to call Port Authority police to have me terminate the video. I'm sure you all know that if you're in a public location such as an airport, as long as you are not interfering with the security, operations of anyone you're entitled (constitutionally) to record anyone.
I will do my best to get these two individuals fired/demoted since they do not deserve to breath the air they do while under a Lufthansa shirt.
