German Army mitts review. I got these German Army surplus mitts because of the severe weather that we encountered here in the UK in February 2018. I have to admit that they are really hard to work in because mitts restrict dexterity but boy are they warm! The main reason I bought mitts was that you can put hand warmers inside them which really do work! These gloves were bought on ebay for less than £9 and free delivery, now thats what I call a bargain. Although they are Army surplus and have been issued to Army personel, they look absolutely brand new. These are high quality gloves - they have to be for the military. They are fleece lined, canvass backed and leather faced. The right hand glove comes with an elastic wrist strap so that if you need to take the glove off, it just hangs there off your wrist instead of you having to put it down somwhere or tuck it under your arm! It's a handy feature. If things get really bad and its very cold, it is possible to put your thumb inside with your fingers too so your whole hand can take advantage of the hand warmers inside. I recommend HOT HANDS hand warmers which last most of the day.
