Who are the Christian Zionists? Technically speaking, a Christian Zionist is simply any Christian who supports the Israeli state as the homeland of the Jewish people but in Israel it more specifically refers to mainly Evangelical groups and individuals coming from the Western World and relocating to the region for business, missionary work or humanitarian projects. They have been met with some controversy by many camps in the Israeli society, particularly among some conservative Jewish groups that oppose proselytization and other native Christians who may feel neglected by these Christian Zionists at the expense of their support for the Israeli state.
