STORYLINE:
Zimbabwe Police raided the headquarters of the opposition party on Friday, allegedly seizing material supporting the contention that President Robert Mugabe lost the recent elections.
The Secretary General of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) party, Tendai Biti, said around 500 heavily armed police stormed the offices.
"They arrested literally everyone who was inside the building. So about 360 people have been arrested, we don't know where they have taken them," Biti told AP Television.
Speaking in Johannesburg, Biti pleaded for international intervention in Zimbabwe.
"Dead bodies are now beginning to flow out of Zimbabwe. Please intervene. Please intervene before the situation gets worse," Biti said.
In particular, Biti said the Zimbabwe people would be looking to their African neighbours to show leadership on the issue.
"This is an African problem we want and demand an African solution to the problem."
