There is plenty of wasteful spending the federal government can and should cut before they consider cutting the defense budget. This is especially true as the Biden administration's poor handling of the Ukraine war continues to strengthen China. In the upcoming fight over the debt limit, conservatives must leverage the left's need for a higher debt ceiling to negotiate serious spending cuts and reforms.
