Shotguns can be a scary weapon to use in Call of Duty: Ghosts. Getting that close to an enemy can be a difficult thing to do. But trust me, the Bulldog is a versatile semi-auto shotgun that even you will do good with! I personally use this weapon on big maps as well as small maps without any issues. Dropping 50 kills per game is another really easy thing to do. Try using your normal speed perks (Agility, Slight of Hand, & Marathon) to help get within close range of the enemy.
