Got the sub 5 minutes!
Herobrine's Return is a custom Minecraft map by Hypixel where the goal is to defeat Herobrine which is indicated when Quest 11 completed shows up in the chat

When the new route for this map came in 2017, I would've never thought that a sub 5 would ever happen for me. However, a lot of optimizations happened since then like the nEmerald skip allowing me to get a sub 5 of my own despite not being close to WR.


The 3 main improvements from my previous 5:03 PB (mainly compounding from reason 1.)
1. New PC which reduced load times. Examples of load times are at 2:38, 3:26, and 4:51.
2. Reimplementing the MLG bucket entering the nether. This was made possible by grabbing a piece of steak at the opening chest rather than grabbing the rotten flesh right next to the milk bucket. Adding this strat back in my old laptop wouldn't have saved much time, but the reduced load times with the new PC actually made this strat have significant time save (around 1-2 seconds). While it is possible to do this strat with the rotten flesh, I had a run where I lost all my hunger toward the end so the steak allows that to not happen.
3. Not doing the MLG bucket entering the lava jumps at 3:27 and doing a save + quit instead. Due to the better new PC's better load times, doing the save + quit didn't actually lose significant time over the MLG which made getting runs more consistent.

While the execution was not much better than my previous 5:03 PB, those strategies allowed me to get a sub 5! I'm very satisfied with this time and am glad to have a sub 5 PB.
