Varese U23 World Championship Cox Recording - GB Men's 8+ 2022
Put some footage together from 2022 as it's been sitting in the archive for too long. This was a totally different crew to the year prior and truth be told I don't think we were (or I was) as confident as the previous season, the crew only had one rower who had been to a world championships so the experience was lacking somewhat. Still found really good speed and I think in the final the race was not near as clear or composed as our training pieces had been, however, it's good to see how conditions can affect racing recordings and how to get the end result with a little more fun calls to G the guys up. A lot of the crew enjoyed the chat, the jokes the calls in the pieces and so in this final, it was all about conditions and staying confident in our rhythm. Being critical, If I could change this piece I would add more silence and breaks in the calls, I think there is too much going on for a lot of the piece which takes away from the information. So if you're reading I think it is better to give the crew time to comprehend the information instead of giving them too much.
