Libya's political system is being fractured as rival groups fight for control of the capital Tripoli.
The country's eastern-based parliament has approved the offensive by regional strongman Khalifa Haftar, but many legislators opposed it.
Haftar wants to seize Tripoli from Libya's internationally recognised government.
The splits are making Libya even harder to govern.
