Hyderabad, Oct 13 (ANI): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao laid foundation stone for the new district Collectorate complex and Police Commissionerate buildings at Duddeda of Kondapaka Mandal in Siddipet district. He also laid the foundation stone of the newly sanctioned medical college at Ensanpally. While addressing a public meeting at Siddipet on the occasion, Rao expressed happiness over developing Siddipet as the district headquarters. Rao said that Telangana has secured first rank in the country in various aspects and he would ensure that Siddipet, which is in the heart of the state, witnesses rapid growth. “I owe everything to Siddipet, including my fighting spirit and the confidence to achieve a separate state. It is time for me to return the favour,” he said. KCR announced numerous projects for Siddipet district including the development of the 9-km bund of Rangarayasagar into a tourism spot; sanctioned Rs 25 crore for development of Komati Cheruvu tank bund; construction of new cottages and other facilities with a fund of Rs 10 crore at Komuravelli temple town; 1,000 new double-bedroom houses, separate police battalion for Siddipet district and many other gifts. He also promised to upgrade Cheryala into a municipality. Telangana Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy, MPs Vinod, Kotha Prabhakar Reddy and Boora Narsaiah Goud, and several MLAs and MLCs besides other officials, were also present at the event.
