After several visits to dipper creek over my last 6 years in BC, I finally got to bring my kayak in a paddle my first part of this insane river. I have sadly had an injury the last two times I hiked in and ended up just shooting photos and video. This is one of the gnarliest and most committing canyons around here when it comes to steep, tight, and technical class 5. I would argue this river has the toughest day-run whitewater in the sea to sky when you consider how far out there you are and what it takes to line everything up and get it done before the sun sets. Plus it is just intimidating af haha. this was a crazy rad day and i am so glad we got in there and ran it with the high water. I think that day is the highest flow I,ve seen anybody run this drop so maybe its the high water descent? Either way, really epic. I also took maybe the hardest hit I've ever taken to my chest and winded myself crazy badly and couldnt move or breath for a sec when i got to the bottom haha. so i don't know how keen id be running this much lower to be completely honest! cant wait to tick off some of the lower drops next season.
